Interview with Gonçalo Miranda - Artist Director of Dreambeach Festival

As part of our personal development plan, we were asked to interview a music business entrepreneur about the skills necessary to start and run a business in the music industry.

As soon as we received this assignment, Gonçalo was one of the first people who came to mind. I believe he is a great example of a music business entrepreneur, given his many years of experience in the industry and the variety of projects he runs:

• Record Store Owner

• Talent Manager / Booking Agent

• Promoter / Artistic Director

I chose him for this interview because I wanted to highlight someone who represents the Spanish music industry. He is also one of the key figures behind Dreambeach, a festival I have been attending for almost 10 years. I have witnessed it grow from a small event into a large-scale festival with over 200,000 attendees last year, featuring international artists across different genres.
