Show Representative - Gotobeat
I’m happy to say that my working relationship with Gotobeat has grown very organically.
I first met Max, the CEO, while working at Big Penny Social, where he was a regular. Over time, we became friends, and through our shared passion for live music and events, we came up with the idea of bringing more live shows to the Walthamstow area by launching a series of Gotobeat shows at Big Penny.
When I started freelancing, Gotobeat was also entering an exciting period of growth, booking bigger artists and producing larger shows. Thanks to my experience managing large venues and event operations, I was trusted to manage my first show with them in September 2025 a sold-out show at Village Underground with Nine Vicious.
Since then, I've been overseeing event operations from 500 to 12000 attendess, across a range of venues, including;

Roundhouse
Bussiness Design Centre
O2 Kentish Town Forum
Scala
Electric Ballroom
Village Underground
EartH Hackney
O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire.
Also, in June, I had the opportunity to support Ibrahim Maalouf's UK tour, working across UK venues including Y Plas in Cardiff, the Corn Exchange in Cambridge, and finishing with a fantastic show at the Roundhouse in London.Most recently, we had our biggest show to date at OVO Wembley Arena with 12,000 attendees for LUCKI. Some of my regular tasks during these shows are:
On-site representative between promoter, venue management, artists, and production teams.
Oversee end-to-end event operations from advance stage to show close.
Manage artist liaison, ensuring riders, hospitality, and technical requirements are delivered accurately.
Coordinate load-in/load-out schedules with production and security teams.
Supervise front-of-house flow, guest list management, and ticketing queries.
Lead post-event reporting including attendance figures, incident logs, and operational feedback.
Looking back, it's been really rewarding to see the relationship with Gotobeat grow from a conversation over a drink at Big Penny into becoming one of the teams I now work closely with on a regular basis.
